We are a dynamic and innovative company in the Radiology technology sector with a strong focus on delivering high-quality services to our customers. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Radscribe Scribe. As a Radscribe, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals by accurately documenting and transcribing radiology reports and patient data. Your exceptional listening skills and ability to multitask efficiently will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our radiology department.

Scribe Responsibilities 

Transcribe Radiology Reports

Listen to audio recordings or live dictation from radiologists and accurately transcribe and document the findings into electronic medical records (EMRs) or other designated systems. Ensure that reports are error-free, complete, and formatted according to established guidelines.

Collaborate with Radiologists

Work closely with radiologists to clarify and confirm information related to the radiology reports. Seek clarification when necessary and ensure accurate capture of critical findings.

Maintain Confidentiality

Handle sensitive patient information with the utmost care and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

Maintain organized and up-to-date records of radiology reports, patient information, and other related documentation. Retrieve and provide reports as required for patient care, research, or administrative purposes.

Maintain Data Integrity

Enter and update patient information, medical history, examination details, and other relevant data into the EMR system promptly and accurately. Verify the accuracy of data entered and resolve any discrepancies or missing information.

Ensure Timeliness

Prioritize and manage workload efficiently to meet established turnaround time targets. Adhere to departmental policies and procedures to ensure reports are completed within the designated timeframe.

Quality Assurance

Review transcribed reports for accuracy, grammar, and formatting. Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with institutional and departmental standards.

Continuous Learning

Stay updated with changes in radiology terminology, procedures, and medical advancements. Actively participate in training programs and seek opportunities for professional growth and development.

Scribe Requirements

Education

A Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or relevant certification program is preferred. Equivalent work experience in a healthcare environment may be considered.

Attention to Detail

Exceptional listening skills and a keen eye for detail to accurately transcribe and document radiology reports. Ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and omissions and rectify them promptly.

Time Management

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to handle changing workloads and adapt to evolving demands.

Communication Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with radiologists, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff. Strong active listening skills to understand and clarify information accurately.

Medical Terminology

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in the radiology field. Familiarity with anatomical structures, disease processes, and diagnostic procedures is highly desirable.

Technical Proficiency

Proficient computer skills, including experience with EMR systems, transcription software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to adapt to new software applications and technical tools quickly.

Confidentiality

Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information and adherence to HIPAA regulations.

Team Player

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
